Noise Tests (and Out-of-Bounds area)
We are fortunate to have a club site that is not particularly noise sensitive as we are located in scenic countryside and surrounded by gentle undulating hills and forests at a reasonable distance. However, our one neighbour (a restaurant about ½ mile away), deserves peace and quiet, so flying too far away from the flying field in their direction is ‘out of bounds’. See the map on the peg board and picture below for details.
Club Rule 48 states: -
48. All models must be effectively silenced and conform to the noise limit set down in the BMFA code of practice. Noise control officers, who will be elected annually, may check any model, which they think, does not meet the requirement. Members are encouraged to have their models noise tested at periodic intervals.
